A graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia, Chef Andres (Andy) Marin has had the opportunity to hone his skills among some of the top restaurants, hotels and chefs in the Delaware Valley area. Through his educational experiences and dedication in culinary arts, Andy has learned about complex food cuisines and is now educating about the simplicity of cooking. For the past six years Andy has been an instructor of Culinary Arts at Art Institute of Philadelphia and is currently serving as Curriculum Coordinator for the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program at the Community College of Philadelphia. Andy’s responsibilities include advising and assisting in the development of the program and is a full time instructor for the program. Andy is certified by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef and Approved Culinary Evaluator. He is also certified by the National Restaurant Association as a Certified Foodservice Management Professional. Andy has been an active member the ACF Philadelphia Chapter (DVCA), currently serving as the chapters Treasurer. He was also awarded Chef of the Year in 2011 and was recognized as Educator of the Year in 2013 by the Delaware Valley Chef Association. Andy is excited to be on the leading edge of the emerging culinary revolution in Philadelphia area, and has a passion for educating tomorrow’s top culinarians.
