Jonah Hudson is a Philadelphia native whose passion for food justice began as a student at Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences. He grew up in Brewerytown and has worked with many food-centered organizations throughout the city including Henry Got Crops!, Sankofa Farm at Bartram’s Gardens, Weavers Way, Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative, Life Do Grow Farm, Federation of Neighborhood Centers, Mariposa Co-op, Whole Foods, and The Food Trust. As a youth, Jonah co-authored the Youth Food Bill of Rights at the Rooted in Community Conference in 2011. He has since served on the Board of Mariposa Co-op from 2015-2016. Jonah currently works with Philly Foodworks and is pursuing an Associate’s Degree in International Studies at Community College of Philadelphia. Outside of food justice work, Jonah enjoys riding bikes, camping, cooking, dancing, traveling, spending time with friends and May, his 6-year-old cat.
