FPAC hosted special guest Mayor Kenney at the May 2017 Executive Session for a briefing on how changes at the federal and state levels may affect food in Philadelphia. Check out the report that FPAC members developed for the Mayor, outlining critical food programs that fight hunger, support our local economy, and serve our most vulnerable residents.
A Philadelphia Food Policy Road Map (2014)
FPAC released its food policy platform, A Philadelphia Food Policy Road Map, on Sunday, April 12, 2014 at the Philadelphia Food Policy and the Next Mayor Forum. The platform, developed by FPAC appointed members, is a guide for the next mayoral administration to help support a healthy, fair Philadelphia food system. The platform covers:
- 20 facts about the Philadelphia food system;
- 10 challenges and opportunities facing the Philadelphia food system; and
- Recommendations to support the food system and improve the health of all Philadelphians.
