Nunera Amun

Nunera AmunA native of Chicago’s South Side, Nunera is a visual storyteller and writer who uses her skill and platform for social change. She currently works as the Communications Director at Rebel Ventures, a youth operated non-profit in Philadelphia dedicated to increasing access to healthy food for children and families. In her time there she has guided high school student crew members in preparing healthy plant-based recipes, initiated the launched of the Healthy Deliciousness at Home Fund to provide cooking supplies for children and families, and supported the launch of a youth-led cooking show that teaches participants how to make a healthy and delicious meals with ingredients from Share Food Program’s no cost food boxes. In addition to her work with Rebel Ventures, Nunera is directing and producing a feature length documentary film that chronicles the coming of age experiences of four young black racially conscious hip hop artists from Philadelphia. Nunera is very interested in working alongside FPAC members to ensure that every resident in Philadelphia has equal access to quality food and that all genders, races and sexualities are represented.
