Steveanna Wynn came to Philadelphia as the Executive Director of the SHARE Food Program, Inc. in 1989 after working with SHARE in Virginia for five years. Prior to that she worked as the Planning and Program Director for Virginia’s New River Community Action in the New River Valley where she developed programs to meet the needs of economically disadvantaged individuals and families. In Philadelphia, Steveanna and her staff of 12 along with over 2,000 volunteers per month, are responsible for The SHARE Food Program which serves half of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and the state of Delaware; the State Food Purchase Program; and TEFAP Program serving more than 500 food cupboards monthly. SHARE supports a Community Service Store, Urban Agriculture, Sunday Suppers, Common Market, a Gardening Program through City Harvest, Nutritional Development Services, CadCom’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) Program, and Philabundance’s CSFP Program. Steveanna currently serves on the SHARE East Coast Collaborative, is the President of the Pennsylvania Association of Regional Food Banks and the Chairperson of Pennsylvania’s Department of Agriculture Advisory Committee. Steveanna is committed to improving the quality of life of individuals and families, and believes if we all work together we can make a difference in our communities and the people that live there.
